Our Mission

The mission of our Outreach Ministry is to equip and empower our church family to fulfill Christ’s command to love our neighbors and make disciples of all nations. We do this by creating opportunities to meet physical needs, build relationships, and share the hope of the gospel.

Local Outreach

Community Partnerships

We partner with established organizations in our community to address specific needs:

  • City Food Bank – Monthly food drives and weekly volunteer teams
  • Homeless Shelter – Meal service and mentoring relationships
  • Pregnancy Center – Material support and volunteer staffing
  • Public Schools – Tutoring programs and teacher appreciation initiatives
  • Recovery Programs – Support groups and mentoring

Neighborhood Initiatives

We focus on building relationships within our immediate neighborhood through:

  • Community Garden – Open to neighborhood residents
  • ESL Classes – Free English instruction twice weekly
  • Financial Counseling – Helping families establish financial stability
  • Home Repair Projects – Assisting elderly and low-income homeowners
  • Family Fun Days – Quarterly community gatherings with food and activities

Prison Ministry

Our prison ministry team serves incarcerated individuals and their families through:

  • Weekly Bible studies in local correctional facilities
  • Mentoring for individuals preparing for release
  • Family support for those with incarcerated loved ones
  • Re-entry assistance for those transitioning back to society

Global Missions

Focus Regions

We concentrate our global missions efforts in specific regions to maximize long-term impact:

  • Central America – Church planting and leadership development
  • East Africa – Clean water initiatives and healthcare
  • Southeast Asia – Bible translation and theological education
  • Eastern Europe – Orphan care and family strengthening

Missionary Support

We currently support 12 missionary families serving in various locations worldwide. Our support includes:

  • Financial partnership
  • Prayer networks
  • Care packages
  • Home assignment housing
  • Ongoing communication and relationship

Short-Term Mission Trips

We send several short-term teams each year to support our global partners:

  • Spring Break – Youth-focused trip to Central America
  • Summer – Multiple teams to various locations
  • Fall – Medical team to East Africa
  • Winter – Construction project in Eastern Europe

  • Weekly Opportunities

    • Food pantry distribution (Tuesdays 4-6 PM)
    • Tutoring program (Wednesdays 3-5 PM)
    • Homeless shelter meals (Thursday evenings)
    • ESL classes (Mondays and Thursdays 6-8 PM)

  • Monthly Opportunities

    • Home repair team (First Saturday)
    • Nursing home visitation (Second Sunday)
    • Prison ministry (Third Weekend)
    • Community outreach events (varies)

Serve Globally

  • Prayer Team – Receive weekly updates about global needs
  • Mission Trip – Join an upcoming short-term team
  • Missionary Care – Support missionaries through encouragement and practical help
  • Faith Promise Giving – Financial support for global missions
  • Refugee Welcome Team – Help newly arrived refugee families settle in our community

Disaster Response

Our Disaster Response Team mobilizes quickly when natural disasters strike locally or nationally. Team members receive training in:

  • First aid and CPR
  • Debris removal
  • Temporary shelter construction
  • Food service for large groups
  • Emotional and spiritual care
